Beads Again 15, 16 from Virtual Quilter

Cut out lots of one simple shape, arrange as desired!

Note that it makes it much easier to hold them in place if you add fusible webbing before you cut them out.

I love both of these designs, and note that I have used just one multi coloured fabric in the designs.to make them look scrappy in he virtual world..

Beads Again 13, 14 from Virtual Quilter

Beads again, and I am back home again after a week with 30 like minded friends, old and new, sometimes stitching, sometimes talking, and often laughing.

The shape of the beads in these designs is my favourite applique shape … simple in itself, but can be used to create an unlimited selection of designs on projects from a pot holder to a king size quilt.

Beads Again 11, 12 from Virtual Quilter

Looks like somebody has been playing with a bead collection, and the results look good.

Beads Again 9, 10 from Virtual Quilter

Interesting, but think the blocks in the middle would look better surrounding the fan blocks around them.

Love the second design as it is!

Beads Again 7, 8 from Virtual Quilter

I love the design, but it is far too busy to make using scraps.

I like the second one, and it would be lovely with scraps.

Beads Again 5, 6 from Virtual Quilter

Interesting.

I love that the rather scrappy look in these designs uses just one multi coloured fabric, and when I save the blocks in My Library they appear as black. I have a picture in my head of the colouring elf in Electric Quilt throwing it’s hands into the air and saying “I give up, what colour can I use for this lot?”

I just want a roll of that fabric to cut up into little leaf shapes so I can scatter beads all over background fabrics

I love the second one!

Beads Again 5 from Virtual Quilter

Love this one.

I wanted some of my String of Beads designs to be scrap quilts, and tried adding a scrappy selection of fabrics to each block, but found it very time consuming, until I found a couple of fabrics in the fabric library which appeared to be rather scrappy in these designs, but much easier to colour a collection of blocks. If you look closely at this virtual quilt you will see that it is just two fabrics and one of them is the background.
